Rules and Regulations

  • All faculty members, staff and students of the college are entitled to become library members
  • All students of this college need to enroll themselves for getting the Library Card.
  • Strict adherence to silence and discipline must be maintained within the library premises
  • Use of cell-phones in the library is strictly prohibited.
  • Library Members have to prior keep all their belongings (excluding money bags and mobile gadgets) in the baggage counter in the front desk at their sole responsibility.
  • Any form of smoking, consumption of foods and drinks is strictly prohibited in the library.
  • Readers should not put any mark on library documents, fold and tear pages, or smudge and damage library resources.
  • No library material can be taken out of the library without permission of the Librarian
  • Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would face disciplinary action.
  • No student is allowed to issue more than one copy of the same book at a time.
  • Students must renew the borrowed books for one more time only after initial issue period of 15 days.
  • Any high priced book cannot be lent out and those books are to be used only in the reading room of the library. High priced book can be marked as Reference book.
  • If any book is lost or torn out or damaged by the student, responsible for as last borrower in the library, will be directed to return the book in original by purchasing a new book. If the book is out of print, then the exact copy of the book as duplicate in nature will have to be submitted by the borrower.
  • Rs. 50 will be charged for duplicate library card.
  • For library clearance the students should have to clear the library dues in the seminar library and if there is no due in the seminar library and the central library, then no dues certificate will be provided.
  • Student should have to deposit her library card before commencement of examination of each semester. The students will get the library card at the beginning of semester after producing the admission receipt to the library.
  • Students who will retain books for more than the given period of 15 days from date of issue/renewal is liable for payment of a late fine at the rate of Rs. 01 per day per book for a period of next 15 days, failing which disciplinary action will be initiated against the defaulting student as per library norms. The accrued fine amount need to be deposited to the College Account Section by the student herself after duly filling a late fine challan to be available from the college library

The above-mentioned library rules may be changed or altered from time to time.
